January 2006 Quilt Block of the Month: Wisconsin Pride Quilt, Door County Cherries Block

Free Pattern in PDF Format for this Block   (print or save after it loads using your browser menu)

My January block of the month (BOM) is a Door County cherries wreath.  It reminds me of the motorcycle trips that my husband and I take in the summer  for Queen Anne cherries, the sweetest and best tasting cherries.  This January BOM resembles sweet and good hard work.

Finished size of the Wisconsin Pride quilt is 85" x 106".  This quilt is traditional needle-turn appliqué quilt (Appliqué Samplers),  finished block size is 21" x 21".  The color combinations are red and green, blue and yellow, etc.  Cut background fabric to 23" x 23", then once the appliqué block is done, trim the block to 21.5"x21.5".
